>> Yoga is about remembering who we really are. It is not a goal-oriented activity. Brett's approach to yoga involves a basic understanding of the core (fascial) 'lines' in the body, and an awareness of these lines in the poses (asanas). This encourages us to move from the inside out, to remember the space that naturally exists in the body.
Our skeletal structure is suspended in the soft tissue of our bodies. The main focus of Brett's yoga is to release tension in the tissue surrounding the bones. As there is no place or goal to reach, the yoga encourages us to remember to be right here, right now.

>> Brett's Yoga classes and private sessions are taught in the brand new Pyramid Yoga studio. The pyramid structure is aligned with true North and is a replica of the Great Egyptian Pyrmaid at Giza, the sides being sloped at of 52 degrees. The pyramid structure is an excellent maginifier of energy, helping us to clearly see our resistance and blockages physically and energetically. Through being present to what is, we begin to see who we really are, the awareness and consiousness beneath the mental noise and physical limitations. We are not our experiences, we are the awareness behind the experiences.

This weekend is about developing your understanding of fascial support in the body and deepening your Yoga practice. The incredible Gatehouse Yoga studio is a wonderful space to find that clear and quiet space that exists within you. This weekend will provide plenty of space and time for you to do that.
Each day will begin with a 25-minute sitting meditation, led by Brett. There will be an evening of chanting after dinner on Saturday, from approximately 8:00-9:15 pm. In previous workshops this has proved to be both energising and very uplifting!
It is my hope that you will discover through this workshop that Yoga is not about forcing anything, it's about letting go of tension to discover the hidden jewel within us.
